Dr. Norman Greenburg was a Psychologist at the Nova Scotia Hospital who treated patients with mental illness. He wanted to do much more for them.

In 1993, he started Petstuff on the Go as a venue that could provide support and training to persons with mental illness, with a focus on employment preparation.

Petstuff on the Go provides people the opportunity to apply skills and to develop an understanding of their employment goals. The ultimate goal is to attain and maintain employment in the community.

When outside employment is found, job coaching support continues at the new placement until the participant is thoroughly confident in their new job.
